After spending much time observing the process, the public’s perceptions and opinions, learning principles of vexillology, and analysing information from Flagpost; my Master of Design initiative, it became conceivable that these insights could be synthesised into an individual flag design process. The idea was that these flags would in some way be shaped by the public—the core influence of this process became the basic insights gathered from Flagpost: the use of colour in flag submissions, and their symbolism and associated meaning.
