Formerly a locomotive works, the Technical University of Applied Sciences is a school undergoing rapid change and the campus itself is growing larger. The campus consists of historic buildings of the Schwartzkopff company from the 1800s, and newer additions that house modern engineering and teaching facilities.
Due in part to this history, a variety of building types and internal orientation systems exist in THW, however, there had never been an inter-building wayshowing system. This new system aims to lead newcomers to campus buildings, while being mindful of existing systems and other non-university buildings.
This system utilises the school’s strong parallelogram shape and existing colour codes.
